Rachel and Ryan originally had their wedding planned at another winery venue in Temecula. That venue ended up doing away with weddings so Rachel and Ryan were left with a wedding date, booked vendors, but no venue. Ryan got right on it and spoke with several surrounding wedding venues and finally booked at Wilson Creek winery.
Even though the wedding was in the middle of August, we had the best weather anyone could have asked for. The afternoon was warm with a nice breeze and then once the sun hit the hills, the valley dropped to a cool temperature which made for a perfect evening.
It was my first time photographing a wedding at Wilson Creek with a ceremony taking place in the upper vineyard area. It was perfect since it was away from the venue and nestled in the vines. We all know how busy the main patio can be during peek season. The reception took place in the Solera Ballroom above the main tasting room. It was so spacious and the lighting was perfect. The food was amazing and the wine was perfection (might of had a glass or two).
