American Portra – one
When I was planning my year back in February, I had no idea a freaking virus would basically cancel the world.
Right before the sh*t hit the fan, I was planning my very first styled shoot for my education brand, American Portra – Shootouts for Photographers.
I spent a whole month going back and forth with models and vendors to set up a unique shootout experience.
We had 6 models, 3 looks, and some amazing photographers. Check out the first of many styled shoots to come!.
The most stressful part were the days leading up to the shoot. Rain was in the forecast and the President declared a national emergency. Several reached out and begged to reschedule the event but I went with my gut and had it anyway. We ended up having to switch venues and it worked out perfectly. The models got ready in a cozy little airbnb while the attendees showed up on by one. We had over 25 photographers there and we all got some amazing photos!!
Our next shoot is on June 16th and will take place in La Jolla. The theme is “Swimsuit Edition.”
