Last year during the Summer, I took a trip to Maui after my busy season of weddings. I booked 10 days on the island and connected with Davin over Instagram. He’s a local Maui wedding photographer and owner of Illuminated Visuals.

We had a portrait session in one of my favorite spots on the island, Honolua Bay Forest. It was so refreshing to be in a different scenery than Temecula. I love the hills and vineyards, but I am partial to a more humid and green climate.

I visited this spot more than 4 times and loved the clean air and lush jungle vibe. Be warned, there are a lot of mosquitoes and apparently falling coconuts.

Every year I try to plan a trip to Maui, hopefully I make it there in 2020!
