What a beautiful day for a San Diego wedding! Moses and I started with Gwen and Jared at Humphreys Half Moon Bay Inn, just minutes from the wedding venue, Bali Hai. The weather was perfect for mid-October—clear skies and warm California air. We couldn’t have asked for better.
The first look happened at the inn. It was a quiet, heartfelt moment between them. Jared’s face lit up as he saw Gwen in her dress. Capturing that kind of joy is why we love what we do.
From there, we headed to Bali Hai for family photos and the final ceremony prep. Bali Hai was an amazing choice with its tropical feel, emerald bay views, and the San Diego skyline in the background. The setup felt like a tropical paradise, right here in California.
Everything was set up perfectly by our friend Jaqueline from San Diego Destination Weddings. Her motto, “Show up dressed, we do the rest,” couldn’t have been truer. Every detail was flawless, and the whole day had a relaxed, easygoing vibe. Guests were happy, family members were laughing, and the whole place felt joyful.
As the sun began to set, the light became golden and soft. The warm glow cast a magical touch over everything. Rosie and I were nonstop, capturing laughs, hugs, and happy tears. It’s the kind of scene photographers dream of—a perfect blend of light, love, and laughter.
