From the moment I arrived at the Coach House at Lorimar I could feel the genuine characters of Laura and Joe. It was a beautiful warm October day in Temecula Wine Country and the whole team was there; Allie, Warren, Zay and myself.
Allie was secondary photographer and Warren was lead video cameraman while Zay was Cameraman #2 and b-roll king. I was the lead photographer. I sent Allie and Zay to document the ladies while Warren and I started with the groom’s portraits by the pond.
The ceremony was beautiful and from the heart. The worship leader from Joe’s Church sang a few songs during the ceremony and family members from far away tuned in virtually. I truly felt the love of God during the vows from these two souls.
Once the ceremony ended, I sent Warren and Allie cover to the reception area while I stayed with Zay to take family portraits and romantics. Having a pair of cameramen for both is crucial to our workflow and final product. Wedding days happen fast, having more eyes and ears to document those moments is very very crucial.
The Reception was held down the street at the Lorimar Winery barrel room. The golden sun was especially beautiful that afternoon while we took photos in the lemon groves and lush vineyards.
Since the wedding took place in early October, we had plenty of light during the start of the reception into the evening.
The cool fall evening ended with some epic 80’s dance tunes and a romantic cake cutting.
We were so honored to capture both photo and video for Laura and Joe’s wedding. Their final delivered film was our Full Feature Film. It covers the most important moments of the day in full plus so much more. Check it out!
