Were do I begin with these two. Jocelyn and Toby had reached out to me in 2019 and booked me for both photo and video. Their date was in June of 2020 but then had to reschedule their Downtown San Diego Wedding at Flora the Venue to June of 2021. However they both had a micro wedding on their original wedding date on Mount Soledad in La Jolla. It was followed by an intimate dinner at Costa Brava, an amazing Spanish restaurant in PB (highly recommend!) During dinner I really got to know about them both and chat with family while we enjoyed Costa Brava’s delicious tapas. Jocelyn and Toby love to travel and have been to dozens on detitanations all over the world. Serious couples goals!
I was especially excited for their rescheduled date since it was my second time photographing an urban wedding in Downtown San Diego. The day started off perfectly at the The Historic Courtyard Marriot in Downtown SD. We were able to have the first look in the old bank vault and capture some amazing street photos on the way to Flora the Venue. Right when we arrived to the venue our team was speechless. The natural light and use of greenery was amazing. Everything photographed so well!
The day went as planned and everything came out beautifully. After the ceremony, the Newlyweds were able to enjoy their cocktail hour with guests and sneak off for a few minutes to get some romantics on the busy streets of Downtown San Diego.
The moody lighting, pops of color, and close friends and family really made for an amazing evening. Check out their Highlight film and photos below!
