Holly and Trysten’s October wedding at Lorimar Vineyard, was the first wedding of the season that I noticed the cool fall breeze make an appearance. It set the tone for chilly, fun filled night. I met Holly at a bridal show late last year at South Coast Winery. She had just signed on with Lorimar and noticed that I am a preferred wedding photographer for both Temecula Wine Country Wedding venues. We hit it off instantly and I offered her and Trysten a free mini shoot…the rest was history. Holly booked me as her wedding photographer almost a year in advance and we planned out the day perfectly.
It’s not very often that a couple can say they have known each other since childhood. Holly and Trysten met the summer before their freshman year of high school at a lock-in night at Mulligans Family Fun Center. They spent the whole night flirting and getting to know each other, but it took years for their friendship to turn to romance. Trysten chose Holly’s birthday to ask his best friend to be his wife. After a couple’s massage at South Coast Winery, he got down on robed knee and popped the question. Of course she said “Yes!”
Lorimar Vineyard is set in the heart of Temecula Wine Country, and matches the “intimate, rustic vibe” that Holly and Trysten envisioned. They chose a wedding color combination of light pink with gold accents to add a little glam. The groom and his groomsmen wore ash grey with pops of the signature light pink. The natural lighting this time of year really compliments this wedding palette. The sun added just the right amount of golden glow to the bridal party photographs.
They prepped for the big reveal and opted to do a first look, which saved us so much time before the ceremony. It’s a perfect time for you to exchanges gifts, get through bridal portraits and even a few family wedding photos prior to the ceremony. The first look was a favorite moment for the bride and groom. They loved how “romantic” it was for them and were so glad they chose to do it.
There is something invaluable about having a great coordinator to see that everything runs as smoothly as Holly and Trysten’s wedding. Not only for the couple, but for the Wedding photographer and videographer, too. Cara Goset with Michelle Garibay Events coordinated Holly and Trysten’s day with perfection. After the ceremony, we had time scheduled to shoot some family portraits and then we took to the vineyards with our bride and groom for some romantics. Holly looked stunning in her Maggie Sottero ball gown. She opted to change into a gorgeous v-neck W-Too by Watters gown for the reception. Light pink carnations and roses studded every bouquet and boutonniere designed by Sweet Petals Florist.
…And then the party began! Holly’s choice of DIY wedding decor from Etsy added personal spotlights throughout the reception area. The vines are always an amazing backdrop to any reception, but the brilliant red barn at Lorimar Vineyard adds that special something. As the sun set, the couple and their guests cut a Laura Marie lemon and raspberry masterpiece and danced the night away under the market lit sky.
Sam and I photographed for a total of 8 hours and caught their grand exit with “no mess” streamers!! Such a fun way to end the night! Holly and Trystan’s intimate wedding at Lorimar Vineyard, was a perfect way to kick off the fall season.
“Our wedding day was perfect! Everything came together perfectly and it was truly a dream come true! Our album came out perfect too. The presentation box was more than we expected. Thank You!”
